Harry Potter has proved to be an extremely popular series of films, some people not even bothering to read the series of seven books, but just watching the films. With the books being extremely long, the films always cut parts out but they still manage to capture the main storyline and the excitement of the books.
This film is the penultimate one, with the final book in the series being so large that they have split it in half. It is where Harry Potter finally comes face to face with his enemy Lord Voldemort and him and his friends face their biggest adventure yet. The film has been produced by JK Rowling ( the author of books) along with David Heyman and David Barron.
The story starts with Harry Potter trying to destroy the soul of Lord Voldemort which he has hidden in a selection of Horcruxes. The journey proves difficult and Harry Potter has to make some huge decisions about his future and that of the rest of the wizarding world. Anyone who has read the book will know how the story ends but it is not fair to spoil it for those who have not read it, but it certainly does not lack in excitement and drama, as you would expect form a Harry Potter story.
However, it is exciting to know that the very end of the book and the second film shows the characters grown up about twenty years after they have left school so that you get an idea of what their future lives were like. This answers a lot of questions that viewers may have had during the course of the films with regards to who ends up with who, relationship wise, as well as what careers the characters pursued and provides a satisfactory conclusion to finalise the series once and for all. The cast is pretty much the same as previous films including Daniel radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley.
Other famous names in the cast include, robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fienes, Helena Bonham carter, Jim Broadbent, Frances de la Tour, Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith and Timothy Spall. The second part of the film was recorded straight after the first part, meaning that they will flow on seamlessly, but of course you will have to wait a while longer before you will be able to see that one. The film is previewing in some cinemas ion the 17th November and others the 19th November. The second part will be released in July 2011.
